The AmazonBasics Mid-Back Mesh Chair Is Actually Worth It

I’ve seen Amazon get quite a bit of hate over the years regarding their own ‘branded’ office chairs. My AmazonBasics Mid-Back Mesh Chair review is going to see if this is true or not.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of mesh chairs, however I’m going to create this review for the sake of helping people make the correct choice for whoever wants to purchase this chair.

I’m by no means a professional or ‘guru’, but I do know if a product is completely rubbish or a good quality, so what makes the AmazonBasics Mid-Back Mesh Chair stand out from its competitors?

The amount of seated positions this chair provides is also incredible. Sit up straight for a more ergonomically correct seated position, or lean back for a more relaxed approach.

I find that this chair would work almost anywhere due to the small dimensions it has.

Place this chair in your kids bedroom for somewhere they can sit, or simply put it in your own home office, because of the amount of seating positions it provides, you will feel comfortable all day long.

This chair can also work in small businesses.

I also can’t see why it won’t work just sitting in the living room under a small desk just to cover up some blank space 🙂

Pros

• The rocking feature that this chair provides works wonders for someone that has to sit down for hours

• Your health and body is very important, the adjustable features make it simple for you to get comfortable

• The mesh back support offers amazing breathability, while the mesh seating is really thick and firm to provide maximum comfort

• Very clear instructions and quick to set up even for a beginner

• Will be a perfect fit for someone 6’2″ and 200 pounds (something that’s hard to find in these sorts of chairs)

Cons

• The arms rests sits way too low and tend to not be used if you can’t reach them

• It’s not the highest quality chair, so there’s a slight chance you can get a ‘bad one’, where holes are misaligned or it breaks early (although this is where the 1 year warranty comes in handy)

Alternative Chair

Otherwise, if you want to steer completely away from the mesh chairs, I can’t think of a better alternative than the Serta Executive Office Chair, roughly the same price but I find it to be MUCH better quality and more than likely going to last longer.

Do I Recommend This Chair?

This chair is good to use for home office owners, small business owners and for someone that wants a chair in their bedroom for their desk.

Because it has a very unique design, I would go as far as to say that it would fit a lot of different environments, making this chair an all-rounder.

If you are under 225 pounds, standing at 6’2″ and under then this will fit you perfectly and definitely recommended for you.

However if the arm rest is going to be a problem for you (due to it being too low), I’m not going to suggest this chair to you for the very reason that it will just be too uncomfortable, causing you to return it.

My Final Opinion of the AmazonBasics Mid-Back Mesh Chair

Not all chairs are created equal, that’s especially true for the AmazonBasics Mid-Back Mesh Chair, because that’s really what this chair is.

A basic chair, designed for basic needs, yet still providing maximum functionality and (most of the time) strong enough to fit all your office needs and desk top projects.

Keep in mind, for a chair to fit you perfectly while providing ergonomic seating positions to help you keep a good posture is a chair you want to use and hold on to.

Your body is something you need to look after for life, by purchasing a chair that constantly gives you grief is essentially a bad idea especially for overall work production and long term illnesses (back pain, eye strain, constant migraines etc).

Do the right thing, choose a chair that IS trying to make you comfortable while giving you maximum health benefits, I find that this chair does just that.

For those simple reasons, this chair is highly recommended!

Unless you’re over 225 pounds then I’d suggest you check out the Serta Executive Office Chair.
