Building a home office can be the easiest thing, but it can also be the hardest depending on one’s taste and most especially one’s budget.
But hey, beggars can’t be choosey right?
Well I want to show you how my first office looked and I want to show you how to piece together a super affordable home office build so that you don’t have to break the bank before you start bringing in bank from your job.
I have gone from the cheapest of all cheap desks to a more modern and functional type desk. For whatever it’s worth, it really depends on your work ethic and goals.
The Dining Table Works Just Fine
When I first started my career as an online marketer, I worked right from the dining room. I had a laptop and a really long extension cord that kept me going.
Mind you, this extension cord is one of those heavy duty orange ones that you can find at Home Depot, so my first office was not the best.
This was not apart of my spending because it was what they had at my mom’s house at the time. Yup, I was living with mom!
It wasn’t the best and it didn’t really look like an office, but it is where my whole career started. I will never forget it and I’m sure these tips will help you create that good working environment without spending over $200.
So if you don’t have the money yet, there really is no need to purchase an actual desk. Now if you feel the need for one, let’s get started on building you a super affordable home office.
Since we’re already trying to save money, I’m sure you’re not looking for something ginourmous either. For the price of the Furino Efficient Computer Desk you really can’t go wrong.
This desk is not only dirt cheap, but it comes with a book shelf. Now how cool is that?! Very simple and definitely affordable, this desk is always a solid go to for anyone looking to get a work station setup.
I mean look at this thing. It’s super simple, fits anywhere, and is more than affordable. For $33 on Amazon, you can’t beat that. For a computer desk? You gotta be kidding me!
Okay, I still think the dining table is your best bet.
Once again, this item can come from the dining room. If you can handle not rolling around or adjusting the hydraulic lever on an office chair, this will work just fine.
Now if you really feel the need to roll around and be able to adjust the height of your chair, the Boss Black Task Seating office chair is the cheapest one on the market.
For this one, don’t be expecting to pick your feet up on the desk and relax like a king because I think you’ll go flying and then your money well spent won’t be that great of an investment.
It is a super simple chair, but it does the job. Again, this is for the I can’t afford to sit down people. Great buy in my opinion, so consider this if your’e on a budget.
Now Get to Work
For starters, this is a great setup. For under $70 you can have yourself a desk and an office chair. This is a great combination and something you should consider if you’re on a budget.
Make more money and then maybe you can think about upgrading to something more fancy and a lot more durable.
For now, this will do the job. It will beat the dining room table and I’m sure you can set this up almost anywhere in your house.
