The Sauder Beginnings Computer Desk is not the biggest desk on the market, however still functional for everyday use.

This desk is available in a cinnamon cherry color, making it a great choice for modernized bedrooms and I think it will make a good accent for any home.

It could be something to consider for someone looking for an attractive desk to fit in a small space, but remaining functional.

It has a raised portion for computer peripherals. I find that a printer would be good, while a monitor would also work.

If you decide to have the raised portion used for the monitor, the main desk top can be used for notebooks, paperwork or assignments for long study sessions.

There is also a side platform that is big enough to house a computer tower. Because this desk is so small, it’s capable of fitting nicely in a small apartment or even in a smaller-than-average house.

I do find that the manufacturer has incredible customer service, which is a must-have with any big company.

• It is so cheaply priced, the amount of time you will get out of this desk will more than make up for it in the long run

• It has all the bells and whistles and still goes up in a breeze

• Even though it’s a small desk, it still has enough room for an averaged size computer or laptop

• This desk is actually high quality and capable of withstanding years of use, something that’s hard to find in a desk within this price range

• Because it has a dark, cherry color, it goes well with almost any wallpaper design, flooring type and goes really good with most types of furniture

• I am really liking the raised corner section of this desk, it makes a great feature for having a clock, family photo, or action figure if that’s what you’re more into

Cons:

• There’s common feedback complaining that this desk will actually come scratched, and sometimes including damaged spots

• The instructions aren’t perfectly clear, however if you often put desks or anything like it together you will soon catch on to how it is done

• On a small fraction of these desks, the holes can be poorly drilled, making it a headache and a half as you put it together

Do I Recommend This Desk?

If you are wanting to use this desk for a small apartment, a bedroom, modernized office, or just to cover up that empty corner in your sitting room then this is for you.

Even if you wanted to use this for an old school-styled office I bet this thing will work like a charm and highly recommended if you are wanting to use it for the reasons outlined above.

However, that doesn’t mean it will work in a huge room, for example:

If you own a big office or large business, you might want something that actually includes a lot more desktop space so you have room for more documents and projects, so I’m not going to recommend this desk for you.

My Final Opinion

I love home offices, and having a desk is one of the most essential items to have, if not THEE most important. It is only necessary to have a desk to fit your current needs and not just some cool office design.

So if you just want a desk to sit in the hallway for a great, added feature then this will work perfectly.

This desk will also fit a small businesses office that doesn’t plan on expanding anytime soon. Or maybe you work from home and want a simple, affordable desk then this is what I recommend.

However, just like I said before, if you are after a desk to fit your huge office or large business and you are constantly bombarded with new assignments and paperwork then this desk isn’t for you!

For the reasons outlined above, and for the simple fact that a desk within this price range and at this quality is actually quite difficult to come across, I’m going to recommend this desk 100%.
