Who This Chair Is For
Because this chair is beautifully presented in a contemporary design, I would say this chair would work wonders in a modernized office or apartment.
This chair does make a perfect decoration too.
Even if you work from home and want something on the ‘higher quality’ side and don’t mind spending roughly $150 then this would also work for you.
Who This Chair Is NOT For
It is not a good idea for students that want to get some homework done. Due to it being on the pricier side, it is a lot more expensive than other chairs and will probably be too pricey for a student.

Pros
- What struck me the most was actually the contemporary design, good for someone who prefers to go ‘new school’
- The colors that this chair comes with, which also includes faux leather is something not a lot of other chairs come with. These include black, red and white
- Even with the slim profile, it is still comfortable and the arm rests provide great support
- It is actually high quality and not going to break or wear down in the first year
- It’s really easy to clean, due to this chair been upholstered in a leather material
- The 5 year limited warranty was something that really stood out from other chairs too
Cons
- Even though it’s comfortable enough and not going to give you aches or pains, it is not the most comfortable seat on the market if you want to sit for long periods (especially for the price you pay)
- You can not return this chair after you have assembled it
Do I Recommend This Chair?
Actually, after a lot of thought regarding this chair, I would not recommend it. It has NO lower back support, the padding is slim and will eventually get flatter, resulting in absolutely no cushioning.
If you ask me, I have no idea how it received this many stars on Amazon.com.
The only time I would recommend this chair is if you are only wanting to sit in it for 1 -2 hours a day, because it is in fact, a great looking chair and it definitely looks more expensive than the actual price.
It will also work perfectly for a decoration and highly recommended for that.
Other than that, this chair is bad for sitting down for 8 hours a day and not recommended for that sort of thing.
Similar Chairs
There is a chair that will ACTUALLY be comfortable enough to sit in all day without giving you aches or pains.
However it is not going to look as expensive as the Altero and may not be as high quality but it IS much cheaper, the Serta Executive Chair is still my number one recommendation.
There’s actually a chair still cheaper than that and more suited for you if you prefer to stay with the leather upholstery that this chair offers, then the AmazonBasics Mid-Back Office Chair might be more your cup of tea.
My Final Opinion
Even though this chair offers a limited 5 year warranty, I tend to find that once it is assembled and you want a full refund, the manufacturers won’t want anything to do with it.
For that alone, is definitely bad customer service and a good reason to stay away from them.
It is a great looking chair and makes a perfect decoration while being comfortable enough to sit in for 1-2 hours a day.
Otherwise I wouldn’t bother with this chair, it is way too expensive and a bad idea if you want a chair to sit in for hours on end, which is what an office chair should be designed for in the first place.
